  23.   The DivX Pro(tm) 5.0.3 software is the version of DivX(tm) video technology
  24.   designed specifically for professional users. It includes all the features
  25.   of DivX 5.0.3, plus extra advanced encoding technology and integrated encoding
  26.   tools that appeal specifically to the most advanced users.  DivX Pro is more
  27.   than just a codec; it is an integrated suite of video tools.

  29.   This version of DivX Pro(tm) is available to you at no cost because it is
  30.   supported by advertising delivered via the Gator Advertising and
  31.   Informational Network (GAIN). GAIN occasionally delivers online advertising
  32.   and informational messages selected based on Web sites you view. The GAIN
  33.   software must be installed in order for this version of DivX Pro to operate
  34.   properly.

  37. Installation instructions

  40.   To install the DivX codec, you should follow the following simple steps:

  42.   1. Copy the installer program (DivXPro503GAINBundle.exe) to a location on 
  43.      your hard drive (e.g., C:\temp).  
  44.   2. Run the installer program by double-clicking on the
  45.      DivXPro503GAINBundle.exe icon.  
  46.   3. Follow the instructions of the installer program to install the
  47.      DivX Pro software.  
  48.   4. Done! The software should be installed in your Systems directory.

  50.   **What files are installed?**: The DivX Pro software installer will install
  51.   the following files on your system:
  52.   
  53. * divx.dll         (DivX Pro Software) 
  54. * divxdec.ax        (DivX Decoder Filter) 
  55. * README.txt        (This README file.)
  56. * License.txt        (License agreement for the CODEC.)
  57. * DivX Help Guide    (Internet Shortcut to DivX.com help site)
  58. * gain_trickler.exe     (This program launches immediately after setup is 
  59.                          completed to install the GAIN software.)

  61.   **Uninstalling DivX Pro Software**: To remove the DivX Pro software from
  62.   your system, you should use the "Add/Remove Programs" control panel in
  63.   Windows. To this by selecting "Start -> Settings -> Control Panel ->
  64.   Add/Remove Programs" from the Windows Start menu. In the listbox that is
  65.   presented to you, choose "DivX Pro 5.0 Bundle" and click "remove."

  67.   **Uninstalling GAIN**:  After the DivX Pro software is removed from your
  68.   system, GAIN will automatically uninstall after a brief period of time.

  74.   DivX Pro 5.0.3 is is a release that helps to ensure that DivX Content is
  75.   reliably decoded on DivX certified electronics products. (DVD Players, portable
  76.   video players, set-top boxes, etc.) We created the DivX Certification program 
  77.   to ensure that the highest-quality DivX-enabled consumer electronics products
  78.   will hit retail shelves as quickly as possible. As part of that process, we 
  79.   established a very rigorous and specific set of testing guidelines that all our
